How to start a journal?

When it finally comes time to put your life down in the first journal entry, be it on a blank piece of paper or a blank piece of the digital realm, what in God's name are ou supposed to start with?! A short summary up to this point, perhaps? That seems a bit demeaning if I can condense my life down to a handful of sentences. THen again, I could probably do just that and it would stand as a testament to my very boring existence. Or maybe I should tell a little something about myself....personality-wise that is. I could do that....but would probably frighten off most fellow meatbags with the twisted, knotted and at times rather moldy psychology
